A coincidental encounter propels Aya, who is waiting for her husband at the airport, to pick up a complete stranger instead. The immediate sense of intimacy that sparks between the two sharply ends when the man disappears, leaving Aya with a yearning that perhaps only a complete stranger can fulfill.

Mihal BrezisMihal and Oded are an Academy Award–nominated filmmaking duo. Their latest film Dead Language (Tribeca 2025) is based on their Oscar-nominated short AYA, which garnered audience and critical acclaim. Their debut feature was the award-winning film The Etruscan Smile, starring Brian Cox. Their earlier shorts earned over 40 international festival awards.

Gal GreenspanGal Greenspan is an award-winning film and television producer, originally from Tel Aviv and now based in Melbourne. A graduate of the Sam Spiegel Film & Television School in Jerusalem, he founded Green Productions in 2009 and has produced internationally recognised films and series premiering at Cannes, Sundance, TIFF, Berlinale and other major festivals. His work spans more than 30 films, series and documentaries, developed and produced across Europe, North America and Australasia, with a strong focus on ambitious, globally oriented storytelling. Greenspan is Co-Managing Director of MOFA and leads MOFA Stories, the company’s long-form film and television slate. Selected credits include Scaffolding (Cannes), Menashe (Sundance), Second To None (Max), Marama (TIFF), Red Alert (Paramount+), and Tell Me Everything (Sundance).
